The 2nd Open Call for the HERIFORGE project is currently open for submissions. We are looking for innovative proposals at the intersection of immersive technologies and cultural heritage.

Selected projects will receive up to €50,000 in funding alongside a 6-month technical mentoring programme designed to turn bold concepts into real-world applications. The call is open to SMEs, startups, NGOs, and individuals with a local footprint in Poland, Cyprus and Türkiye.

What was covered in the Webinar?

To help applicants prepare their proposals, the HERIFORGE team hosted a dedicated Q&A session with technical leads and open call managers from all three hubs. The recording provides a comprehensive walkthrough of the rules and addresses essential applicant questions, including:

Scope & Hub Challenges: Details on the specific requirements for the three hubs – including collaboration with Cultural Heritage Institutions and technical specifications.

Eligibility & Local Footprint: Clarifications on who can apply (SMEs, individual creators, NGOs) and how to demonstrate an existing local connection to Poland, Cyprus and Türkiye.

Funding & Budgeting: How the lump-sum grant is distributed across project milestones eligible costs, and rules regarding subcontracting and IP rights.

Application Walkthrough: Practical guidance on navigating the submission portal, avoiding common pitfalls, and preparing key application sections for evaluation.
